The ruby saltbush (Enchylaena tomentosa) is a native low growing shrub with leaves similar to those of a quaint succulent. This beautiful little plant is a traditionally used food resource by First Nations people.

The eastern brown snake (Pseudonaja textilis), called the wirlu-wirlu by the Kurnu-Baakandji, has the second most toxic venom of any snake in the world.
